Current Account at WIPO becomes WIPO Wallet

Secure deposit account offers simplified digital payment for regular service users

WIPO has rebranded the secure deposit account that forms part of its digital payment services.

Current Account at WIPO has officially become WIPO Wallet – a fast, reliable and cost-effective way to pay WIPO fees related to PCT applications as well as other services such as arbitration and mediation.

WIPO Wallet is a deposit account, managed in Swiss Francs, designed to simplify the payment process for customers who regularly carry out transactions with WIPO. Requirements include:

  • an initial deposit of CHF 200; and
  • at least four transactions per calendar year.

Existing WIPO Current Account holders do not need to take any action. Your account has automatically become a WIPO Wallet. Your funds, balance, and account settings remain unchanged, and all transactions will continue to be processed as usual.

If you regularly file PCT applications with the receiving Office of the International Bureau but do not already have a WIPO Wallet account, consider opening one to benefit from a simpler, more efficient way to manage your payments to WIPO.
