Withdrawal of notifications of incompatibility of certain PCT Rules with national laws

Mexican Institute of Industrial Property

The Mexican Institute of Industrial Property has notified the International Bureau that, since 4 April 2026, the national law applied by the Office in its capacity as designated Office under the PCT is no longer incompatible with:

PCT Rule 49ter.1(a) to (d) (effect of restoration of right of priority by receiving Office); or
PCT Rule 49ter.2(a) to (g) (restoration of right of priority by designated Office).

The notices of incompatibility previously submitted by the Office under PCT Rules 49ter.1(g) and 49ter.2(h) were therefore withdrawn with effect from the same date. More information about the Office’s requirements in applying the above Rules will be published when available.
