WIPO launches Global IP Assignment Platform pilot

Project underway for new digital service

WIPO has launched the pilot phase of a new digital service for recording changes in the ownership of registered IP rights around the world.

The Global Intellectual Property Assignment Platform (GIPAP) aims to transform the IP assignment process by providing a simpler, faster and more affordable digital service for filing assignments across jurisdictions. The platform will serve as a clearinghouse enabling users to prepare, submit and track assignment filings for multiple IP Offices through a single guided process.

The GIPAP is being developed through extensive consultation with partner IP Offices and other stakeholders. For more information, visit the project webpage.
